BDO employs Orchid's Inter-Entity to balance the books

The Company

BDO is one of the world’s leading accountancy and advisory organisations. The Sydney office, with over 200 staff, provides the full breadth of accounting, tax and advisory services. (www.bdo.com.au/en-au/sydney)

The Challenge

With over 20 partners in the Sydney office, BDO needed a system solution to help manage the process of balancing fund allocations among the partners’ accounts.

The Solution

They chose Inter-Entity Transactions from Orchid Systems as an add on to their Sage 300 ERP implementation.

They were confident that it could meet their needs by dramatically reducing time spent manually creating all the balancing entries, while also removing the risk of human error.

The Result

Stephen Lansley, the Controller for BDO, says:

The automation of this process provided by Inter-Entity Transactions saves at least a day of my time each month

Better still, he is confident that all allocations are accurately recorded so there are no surprises when the partners get a report of their drawings.

“I can now be confident that all allocations are accurately recorded, so there are no surprises.”
